Blurred Vision – Causes, Symptoms And Natural Treatment!

 blurred vision deficiency

What is Blurred Vision?

Blurred vision is a condition wherein the images that one sees are blurry. It should be distinguished from other visual problems, particularly double vision or diplopia. Other factors that need to be considered when assessing the condition are first if the condition is unilateral or bilateral and second if the blurring of vision occurs intermittently or continuously. blurred vision

Blurry vision,

can be annoying and frustrating to deal with, but it’s a fairly common experience that happens to many people. Sometimes it can result from another underlying condition that doesn’t involve the eyes at all, and other times it can be a warning sign of something more serious that is affecting your vision. If you do experience blurry vision at any point, you should schedule an eye test with your optometrist to rule out any major problems.

Signs and Symptoms:

A. Blurred vision is characterized by a noticeable loss of your visual sharpness:

  • This means you may be unable to see small or fine details.
  • Sometimes objects far away or close up may be slightly blurred.
  • and other times the change can be so severe it affects your ability to carry out your normal routine.

You may also experience accompanying symptoms along with blurry vision:blurred vision

These can range from photophobia (sensitivity to light), eye pain, dry or itchy eyes, discharge from your eye, increased tear production and changes to your peripheral, central or night vision.

When to See a Doctor?

If you experience blurred vision along with any of these additional symptoms, it’s best to see your optometrist for an eye exam.

Causes:

There are numerous reasons why a person could suffer from blurred vision. Temporary issues, such as a migraine or interference with medications, are common causes of this kind of vision, other reasons include:

  • Aging: muscled around the eyes tend to weaken thus the lenses’ shape is deformed.
  • Cataract: another eye disease which is described as that white spot in the eye.
  • Glaucoma or poor night vision:  The worse that this disease can lead to is blindness.
  • Near-sightedness: this occurs when an object looks blurry because it is too much focused in front of the eye.
  • Hyperopia or far-sightedness.

Hyperopia or farsightedness is a common eye problem. People affected with this eye condition have difficulty seeing objects that are proximate. But in severe cases of hyperopia, objects that are far away may appear blurry as well.

  • Dry eyes or the inability to produce enough tears.
  • Floaters: These are small particles that seem to glide around your eye.
  • Diabetic or Diabetes-Related Eye Disease.
  • Eye injury and inflammation.
  • Wearing eyeglasses that are not of exact prescription as to your real vision.

Prevention & Management:

If your vision is blurred, it is best to go see your eye doctor as soon as possible. Treatment options vary from surgery to corrective lenses depending on the condition of your eye. But while you may need corrective lenses, contacts or other treatment from an eye specialist, there are natural ways to help relieve blurry vision through simple eye exercises, diets, and supplements. Exercises are really easy-to-do that,  you can perform in the comfort of your own home.

  • For 10 minutes, breathe deeply and relax with your hands resting over your eyes.

Performing the exercise will allow your eyes, mind, and body to relax and will often enhance blurred vision for tired eyes.

3. Flexibility:
