3. Another Delicious Guacamole Recipe:

The Ingredients

  • 3 avocados (peeled, pitted, and mashed).
  • 1 lime (juiced).
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt.
  • 1/2 cup of red onion (diced).
  • 3 tablespoons of cilantro (chopped).
  • 2 plum tomatoes (diced).
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic (minced).
  • 1 pinch of grounded cayenne pepper for heat.

Preparation Method: GUACAMOLE

  • To begin preparing the recipe first you need to take a medium bowl.
  • After that, mash together the avocados, salt, and lime juice in that bowl. After completing the mashing process thoroughly, mix in onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic with the mashed avocado, lime juice, and salt mixture.
  • Blend the grounded cayenne pepper with the mixture to add some spice to it.

To get the best flavor,

for an hour keep it in the refrigerator to let it cool down. You can serve it immediately after preparing. However, if you want to make it a chilled summer snack then serve it to your guests after refrigerating it.

Benefits:

It is the traditional way to make it smooth, but you can also keep it in chunky pieces without mashing the avocados. It is low on calories and mouthwatering if prepared properly. To give it some variation, you can change and add some ingredients, like if you want to feel a sour taste, add some extra lime juice, and cayenne pepper can be substituted with the jalapenos to make it yummier.

4. Traditional Mexican Guacamole Recipe:

Ingredients: GUACAMOLE

  • Avocado.
  • Lemon or Lime Juice.
  • Salsa.
  • Sour Cream.
  • Tobasco Sauce.

Preparations:

  • Slice your avocado lengthwise going around the large pit that is in the center.
  • Twist the two sides slightly against each other in opposite directions.
  • One side will still have the pit in it when it is pulled apart.
  • Carefully take your knife and whack the blade gently into the pit.
  • Turn the knife gently and the pit will pop out while still being attached to the knife blade.
  • Take a napkin or paper towel and pull it off the knife.
  • You can also just slam the pit from the side against a bowl or container and knock it off.

For the good stuff…

  • Slice the two sides of your avocado lengthwise again so you have four pieces.
  • Put the edge of your knife under the tip of the avocado skin and peel the skin off the avocado flesh.
  • It will peel right off if your avocado is perfectly ripe.
  • If your avocado is still a little hard use a spoon to scrape it out of the skin.
  • If it is too ripe you may have a few little brown spots.
  • Cut those out so your guacamole does not taste bitter.

Put your avocado in a bowl:

  • Sprinkle about a tablespoon of the lemon or lime onto the avocado.
  • A little more is even better if you like the flavor of the citrus.
  • Add your salsa to taste. A couple of heaping tablespoons are good.
  • Add a little sour cream for coolness and Tabasco for some heat.
  • Now it is time to mash.
  • An old fashioned potato masher works great to give the mix a quick smash.
  • If you don’t have one of those you can use a large spoon or fork and start mashing.

5. Guacamole Sauce:

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups.
  • 4 medium-size Hass avocados, pitted, peeled, and chunked.
  • 1/2 lime, juiced.
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro.
  • 1 plum tomato, cored, seeded, and chopped.
  • 1 jalapeno, cored, seeded, and finely chopped.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped.
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped (or equivalent in jarred garlic).
  • Sea or Kosher salt to taste.
  • Coarse pepper to taste.

Preparations:

  • Toss the avocado with the lime juice in a bowl.
  • Blend these ingredients evenly with the avocado and lime juice in the bowl and mash them with a fork, leaving a nice chunky texture.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Put the sauce in a bowl and enjoy it on whatever you please.

Guacamole

Ideas For Using Avocados in Your Meals:

I. Breakfast:

My favorite in-a-hurry breakfast is a slice of whole wheat and flax bread toasted. Top with slices of avocado spread them like butter and a sprinkle of seasoning salt. It is just perfect – quick and filling.

II. Stuffed:

Use the avocado as a serving dish. Fill an avocado half with chunks of crab or shrimp and a drizzle of 1000 Island dressing. Consider chicken or tuna salad as a filling also.

III. Salads:

Marinated avocado salad: Diced red onions, quartered Roma tomatoes, cubed avocado tossed with a 3:1 mix of oil (canola or olive) to rice wine vinegar. Serve on a bed of mixed greens. It is so light and refreshing.

IV. Toppings:

Put slices of avocado on top of chili or tortilla soup. With a dot of sour cream and a sprinkle of Monterey Jack cheese, it is the perfect finishing touch. It is also an excellent burger condiment. You can make a turkey burger and mix salsa in with the meat. Grill, melt your favorite cheese and top with a slice or two of avocado.

These are just some of the benefits of Avocado. Personally, we suggest that everyone should include delicious guacamole in their diet which can help them in leading a healthy lifestyle.
